5 Days from Fez to the Desert and Marrakech

Day 1 – Arrival and see Fez with local guide.

Meet at the airport or Hotel, and start exploring Fez the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its narrow streets, visit the gate of the Royal Palace, the Jewish barracks and the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, built during the sixteenth century we will make sure you visit all the sites with cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest, the tanneries, the Attarine museum and the Mulay Idriss mausoleum You will visit the tile cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fes overnight in Riad.

Day 2 – Fes – Medelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert.

After breakfast in Riad we leave for Merzouga passing through Ifrane, the Moroccan Switzerland. We will pass through the cedar forest where we will enter to enjoy the view of the little monkeys climbing the hills. Then we continue through the Middle Atlas to the Ziz Valley. Then we will go to the city of Erfoud, famous for being the capital of fossils. In the afternoon, we will take the camels to spend a splendid night in the middle of the dunes where we will sleep in a nomad tent with Berber music and starry sky.

Day 3 – Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley.

This day, wake up early to see the sunrise from a large dune, then shower and breakfast at the camp. Then we will take the road to the Dades Valley passing through the city of Rissani where we will stop a little to visit its traditional market, considered the largest in southern Morocco. Then we will continue to the Toudra Gorges to reach the Dades Valley, we will have accommodation in a charming Riad.

Day 4 – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech.

After breakfast, we will pass through the Valley of Roses and Sakoura. Then we will visit the famous fortified Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, on the banks of the river Ounila. Many movies have been filmed there such as Babel, Gladiator, Aladdin. Then we will have lunch and cross the High Atlas to reach Marrakech and sleep in Riad in the Medina.

Day 5 – Guided Tour and airport transfer

After breakfast we will take an excursion to visit Marrakech.
