Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt
We start our journey from Fes early in the morning and head south through the breathtaking landscapes of the Middle Atlas. Our first stop will be in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco”, where we will make a brief stop to admire its alpine architecture and enjoy the fresh mountain air. We will continue our journey to Midelt, passing through picturesque Berber villages and lush valleys. Upon arrival in Midelt, we will settle into our accommodation and have free time to explore the city and rest after a day full of emotions.
Day 2: Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga
After breakfast, we will continue our journey to the southeast, crossing the impressive mountainous landscape of the High Atlas. On the way, we will pass through the village of Erfoud, known as the “Fossil Capital”, where we will make a brief stop to visit fossil workshops and learn about the unique geology of the region. We will then head towards Merzouga, the starting point for our desert experience. Upon arrival, we will meet our friendly nomadic hosts and prepare for an exciting camel trek through the dunes of Erg Chebbi. In the evening, we will enjoy a spectacular sunset over the dunes and settle into our Berber camp, where we will spend the night under a starry sky.
Day 3: Merzouga – Fes
Wake up to the soft glow of the sunrise over the dunes and enjoy a traditional Berber breakfast in the heart of the desert. After breakfast, we will embark on our return journey to Fes, taking with us unforgettable memories of our adventure in the desert and mountains. On the way, we will stop in Rissani, where we will visit its lively traditional market and explore its ancient ruins. We will continue our journey north through breathtaking landscapes and arrive in Fes in the afternoon, where we will bid farewell with the promise to return someday to this fascinating country.
