2 days in the Sahara desert from Fes

Day 1: Fes – Erfoud – Merzouga

We start our journey from Fes early in the morning and head south through stunning mountain scenery and picturesque Berber villages. Along the way, we will make several stops to enjoy the panoramic views and take pictures. Arriving in Erfoud, known as the “Fossil Capital”, we will make a brief stop to visit fossil workshops and learn about the unique geology of the region. We will continue our journey to Merzouga, the heart of the Sahara Desert. Upon arrival, we will meet our friendly nomadic hosts and prepare for an exciting camel ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi. In the evening, we will enjoy a spectacular sunset over the dunes and settle into our Berber camp, where we will spend the night under a starry sky.

Day 2: Merzouga – Fes

Wake up to the soft glow of the sunrise over the dunes and enjoy a traditional Berber breakfast in the heart of the desert. After breakfast, we will embark on our return journey to Fes, taking with us unforgettable memories of our desert adventure. On the way, we will stop in Rissani, where we will visit its lively traditional market and explore its ancient ruins. We will continue our journey north through breathtaking landscapes and arrive in Fes in the afternoon, where we will bid farewell with the promise to return someday to this fascinating country.
