Tour Itinerary 9 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Upon arrival at Marrakech Airport, you will be greeted by our representative holding a sign with your name. They will transfer you to the Riad where you will spend the night. You’ll have the opportunity to have a first contact with the famous Jemaa el Fna Square. Overnight stay in Riad.
Day 2: Marrakech Exploration
After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Marrakech to visit its most important landmarks. Explore the bustling Jemaa el Fna square, Majorelle Gardens, Menara, Saadian Tombs, and more. You’ll have ample time to wander through the medina, mellah, and modern city of Gueliz. Overnight stay in Riad.
Day 3: Marrakech – Ouarzazate via Ait Ben Haddou
After breakfast, depart for Ouarzazate via the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi N’Tichka pass. Visit the cooperative of Argan oil and the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ait Ben Haddou. Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert. Overnight stay in Riad.
Day 4: Ouarzazate – Merzouga via Draa Valley
Travel to Merzouga via the Draa Valley, admiring its charming kasbahs and Berber villages. Stop for lunch in Alnif before arriving at the impressive dunes of Merzouga. Visit Rissani’s traditional market and venture into the desert on camelback to reach the tented camp. Dinner and overnight stay in the desert camp.
Day 5: Merzouga Desert Excursion
Experience the sunrise in the desert before returning to the hotel for breakfast. Explore Khamlia village, visit nomadic families, and enjoy panoramic views from the marble mines. Return to Merzouga for optional activities like trekking or quad biking. Overnight stay in Riad.
Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Drive to Rissani and Erfoud, visiting a fossilized marble factory. Explore the Todra Gorge and enjoy lunch on-site. Continue to the Dades Valley, visiting the Dades Gorges. Overnight stay in a hotel by the Dades River.
Day 7: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Drive through the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs, Valley of the Roses, and Skoura palm grove. Visit the Kasbah of Taourirt in Ouarzazate and cross the Tizi N’Tichka pass. Return to Marrakech and overnight stay in Riad.
Day 8: Excursion to Essaouira
Depart for Essaouira, a port city with impressive fortifications and artisan crafts. Explore the Skala, enjoy a tasty meal, and relax on the beach. Return to Marrakech in the afternoon.
Day 9: Departure from Marrakech
